Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Mainframe Administrator based in Bengaluru. The Mainframe Administrator will oversee and maintain the reliability, performance, and security of mainframe systems. Key responsibilities include system installation, configuration, and upgrades, as well as troubleshooting and optimizing mainframe operations. The role requires close collaboration with other IT teams and allows for a combination of in-office and remote work.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and experience in mainframe system administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Proficiency in performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting mainframe operations
  • Understanding of network protocols, disaster recovery processes, and data security measures for mainframe systems
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively
  • Familiarity with programming languages relevant to mainframe environments (e.g., COBOL, JCL) is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications are an advantage
