Job Description Java Developer (Banking Domain, 3+ Years Experience)

Position: Java Developer

Experience Required: 3 – 5 years

Domain: Banking / Financial Services

Role Overview:

We are looking for a passionate Java Developer with experience in developing and supporting banking/financial applications. The candidate will be responsible for coding, debugging, and delivering high-quality software solutions in alignment with banking business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Core Java (Java 11/17).
  • Work on APIs, microservices, and integration with banking systems.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and testers to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Work with relational databases (Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL) for transaction-heavy applications.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in the banking domain.
  • Provide support for production issues and bug fixes.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Core Java (Java 8/11/17), Collections, Multithreading basics.
  • Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices.
  • Hibernate / JPA.
  • RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL queries.
  • Exposure to messaging systems (Kafka, JMS, MQ).
  • Git, Maven/Gradle, JUnit/TestNG.
  • Basic knowledge of banking workflows like payments, loans, KYC, or account management (preferred).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Good communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced banking environment
