Job Title: Software Developer Engineer (SDE)

Location: Kharadi,Pune

Role Overview

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) who can design, build, and maintain end-to-end applications that support real-time trading workflows, operational dashboards, and internal research processes. You will be responsible for the full engineering lifecycle—from ingesting and structuring data to developing scalable backend services and intuitive frontend interfaces, all the way through deployment and monitoring.

This role involves building systems that handle real-time updates, streaming data, interactive visualizations, and high-performance computation. Beyond core application engineering, you will collaborate with the research team on data modeling, feature development, and simulation tools, ensuring that their logic is accurately translated into production-grade systems.

Because we operate in a lean and high-speed environment, we need engineers who can take initiative, make sound technical decisions, and deliver robust solutions without heavy oversight. You'll work closely with product stakeholders and traders, but in an engineering culture that emphasizes autonomy, ownership, and rapid iteration.

Key Responsibilities

 Develop and maintain end-to-end applications, dashboards, and internal tools used for live monitoring, analytics, and operational decision-making.

 Design and manage data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing real-time and historical datasets across multiple internal systems.

 Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and micro-services to support low-latency use cases and high-frequency data access.

 Contribute to frontend development using modern frameworks to create responsive and user-friendly interfaces for internal teams.

 Create analytics modules, simulation utilities, and data-driven tools for scenario modeling, performance tracking, and workflow automation.

 Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand technical requirements and translate them into reliable, scalable engineering solutions.

 Assist with feature engineering, data preparation, and validation pipelines, ensuring smooth integration of new models and logic into production systems.

 Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a focus on performance and reliability.

 Continuously improve system performance, architecture, and developer workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

 Strong programming skills in Python (Numpy, pandas, FastAPI/Flask, etc.) and experience building scalable backend services.

 Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, TypeScript) and good understanding of UI/UX fundamentals.

 Solid experience in full-stack application development or experience building internal engineering tools.

 Good understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), data modeling, and data pipeline design.

 Familiarity with real-time or streaming systems (websockets, streaming APIs, event-driven architectures, message queues).

 Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software system design.

 Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and rapid-learning abilities.

Nice to Have:

● Prior experience or interest in financial markets/algo trading/quantitative research.

● Familiarity with for performance-critical modules.

● Exposure to DevOps/deployment/cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, etc.).

● Exposure to TT ADL and/or experience developing algorithms via TT ADL.

● Knowledge of options, futures, and market microstructure.

Note that we strongly prefer developers who are AI-enabled, especially those with exposure to agentic AI frameworks, and can prototype solutions quickly while also converting them into production-grade applications with reliability and performance in mind. However, while we are an AI-augmented team, it is critical that your foundations in programming, systems design, and problem-solving are strong without relying on AI assistance.
