Job Profile :

To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies in Academic, Extension and Research activities.

The candidate should have good knowledge related to various aspects of

sugar industry and allied sugar manufacture, value added products such as refined sugar, organic sugar, liquid sugar etc. He should be aware of the latest developments and technologies of Sugar manufacturing process and energy & water conservation.

Aptitude to conduct research and developmental work is desirable and essential.

The candidate should also have exposure of preparation of DPR, tender documents, preparation of process validation reports, and preparation of techno-economic viability reports for sugar production from sugarcane juice and knowledge of water balance.

The candidate should have knowledge of computer preferably in excel sheet required for calculation of sugar manufacturing process reports, FRP calculations as per DFPD guidelines and equipment capacities calculations.

The candidate should have aptitude for offering consultancy services particularly in the area of sugar manufacturing process.

The candidate should have hands on experience in sugar mill trouble shooting and sensory evaluation of manufacturing process

Candidate is also required to get involved in academic activities related to Sugar Technology and to provide technical support to various Government authorities Chief Director Sugar, Commissioner of Sugar, Commissioner of State Excise, Central pollution control board, Maharashtra pollution control board etc
