Python Software Developer

JOB POSITION

• Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking Senior Software Engineer a talented and motivated Python Developer to join our team.
• Reporting to Team Lead, you will help refine and grow the capabilities of current systems, driving continuous improvement to meet our engineering needs.
• Associate will be responsible for designing, developing, and sustaining new product introduction related health care application systems.
• In this role, associate will also promote best practices and internal business processes.
• Associate will be responsive and able to adapt quickly to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
• Associate will work in a data driven environment, have a desire to drive change, and be excited by the opportunity to analyze systematic issues and implement solutions to challenging problems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality, efficient Python-based applications and services.
• Strong expertise in Python and popular frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
• Advanced command of SQL programming and database management.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) is often beneficial.
• Familiarity with APIS, (RESTful APIs are common) and Microservices
• Build and maintain scalable and secure backend systems and RESTful APIs.
• Optimize applications for speed, performance, and scalability.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and testable code.
• Implement data processing pipelines and automate processes using Python scripts.
• Design and implement efficient, complex SQL queries and stored procedures
• Work with various databases, including relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB).
• Perform database design, data modeling, and data migration tasks
• Leverage GitHub Copilot/AI pair programming tools to improve development speed and code quality.
• Exposure to LLMs, LangChain, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS).
• Knowledge of streaming data & messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Optimize APIs for scalability, cost efficiency, and reliability in cloud-native environments
• Ensure data integrity, security, and efficient data retrieval.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance and code reviews to junior developers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers and UX/UI designers.
• Lead and contribute to defining software requirements and solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
• Strong agile/scrum development experience, experience interpreting user stories and applying the appropriate technical solutions to deliver operational results
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within distributed project teams

QUALIFICATION

Full time IT Engineering or equivalent degree (preferably in Computers)

EXPERIENCE

• 6+ years of Software Engineering experience python and SQL.
• Experience in Python and SQL technologies
