Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Advanced degree in Energy, Engineering, Environmental Policy, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10–15 years of professional experience in the power/energy sector.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Strong knowledge of UK power sector and awareness of global power markets.
  • Prior experience working with Government of India and/or State Governments.
  • Experience in donor-funded programmes (e.g., FCDO, World Bank, ADB).
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, MEL frameworks, and risk management.
  • Experience integrating gender and inclusion considerations into programmes.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver high-quality outputs under pressure.
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills tailored to senior decision-makers.
  • Preferred:
  • Existing networks and presence in the UK and India.
  • Familiarity with performance evaluation frameworks, digitalisation in the power sector, or strategic planning tools.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and in cross-cultural environments.
  • Commitment to gender equality and social inclusion principles.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary

Contract length: 24 months

Pay: ₹65, ₹75,000.00 per month
