Position Summary:

The Cashier is responsible for handling all customer payments and transactions accurately and efficiently in an automobile dealership or service center. This role involves processing invoices, managing cash and credit payments, issuing receipts, maintaining financial records, and providing excellent customer service to clients picking up or dropping off vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process payments from customers for vehicle purchases, service repairs, and parts.
  • Verify accuracy of invoices and ensure proper documentation for each transaction.
  • Maintain daily cash drawer and reconcile balances at the end of each shift.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, or credits as necessary.
  • Assist customers courteously and address payment-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate with service advisors, sales, and accounting staff to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Prepare daily reports and submit transaction summaries to the accounting department.
  • Handle customer records confidentially and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cashier area.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).
  • Prior experience as a cashier, preferably in an automotive or retail environment.
  • Strong numerical and organizational skills.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and computer systems (e.g., DMS, MS Office).
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based, located at the dealership or service reception area.
  • May require evening or weekend shifts depending on business hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15, ₹20,000.00 per month
