Role Overview

The QA/QC Manager will oversee all quality assurance and control functions at the plant level, ensuring that every stage of the milling and packaging process meets defined quality and safety standards. The role involves implementing robust QA systems, managing lab operations, ensuring compliance with FSSAI norms, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement QA/QC procedures specific to flour milling and packaging operations.
  • Conduct regular inspection and testing of raw grains, in-process materials, and finished flour to ensure compliance with defined quality parameters.
  • Ensure adherence to FSSAI, ISO, GMP, and HACCP standards.
  • Oversee laboratory testing for parameters like moisture content, ash value, gluten strength, and microbial quality.
  • Supervise hygienic practices across the milling and packaging sections.
  • Lead internal audits, supplier quality checks, and documentation control.
  • Manage non-conformances and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with production and procurement teams to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of all lab and testing equipment.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for production staff on food safety and quality compliance.

Requirements:

  • M.Sc / B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology, Cereal Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in QA/QC within flour milling, grains, or food processing industries.
  • Thorough understanding of milling processes, packaging quality checks, and food safety protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of FSSAI, ISO 22000, GMP, and HACCP standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
