Assistant General Manager Human Resource

Role & responsibilities: Softel is looking for a self-motivated and experienced AGM - HR to lead and manage the human resources function, ensuring timely recruitment, compliance, performance management, policy execution, employee engagement, employee lifecycle operations, and HR systems, to support business objectives, maintain a high-performance culture, and ensure efficient HR operations.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Drive full-cycle recruitment; requirement gathering, job description approval, budget validation, sourcing, interviews, selection, and onboarding.
- Maintain documentation of MRFs (Manpower Requisition Forms), JDs, approvals / exceptions, budget records.
- Lead the PMS process, Set KRAs/KPIs, collaborate with managers and management, incentive/appraisal cycles.
- Ensure timely closure of PMS cycles, accurate ratings, payout recommendations, documentation, and integrity of records.
- Regularly review/update HR policies; ensure adherence to labour laws and alignment with company culture and business needs.
- Ensure adherence to labour laws & regulatory requirements (India, Dubai, etc.).
- Plan and drive initiatives that build engagement (celebrations, awards, recognition, longevity benefits, open forums); resolve employee issues.
- Manage payroll accuracy, leaves, contracts, offer/relieve documentation, HRMS updates, and audits.
- Ensure payroll / attendance / benefits / leave / off-roll staff / statutory documentation are processed on time and accurately.
- Manage offer letters, appointments, relieving, increment, transfer letters etc. Ensure both physical and HRMS record maintenance.
- Oversee HRMS / HRIS data integrity; ensure all employee data (joiners, exits, leaves, etc.) and other system inputs are up to date
- Address grievances, queries in a timely manner. Maintain good interpersonal communication channels.
- Mentor and guide the HR team to ensure quality delivery of tasks.
- Monitor and report HR updates to management: time-to-hire, onboarding turnaround, PMS completion rate, policy compliance, payroll accuracy, attendance, attrition, etc.
