Role Overview:

As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You'll work closely with DevOps, development, and security teams to ensure that our infrastructure is highly available, scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Management

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure on AWS using services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and ECS/EKS
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK
  • Ensure high availability, failover, and disaster recovery solutions across environments

Automation & CI/CD

  • Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CodePipeline, or similar tools
  • Automate routine tasks, system provisioning, and configuration management with tools like Ansible, Bash, or Python

Monitoring & Optimization

  • Set up monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus)
  • Perform cost optimization and resource utilization analysis
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and network-related issues

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to deliver cloud-native solutions
  • Maintain clear documentation of cloud architectures, runbooks, and best practices
  • Stay updated with AWS services and propose architecture improvements

Nice-to-Haves:

  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator)
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS)
  • Knowledge of networking (VPC, Route 53, Load Balancers, VPNs)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows and Git-based version control
