Job Title: Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior SDET with 8-10 years of experience in automation and quality engineering. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to build scalable, maintainable, and efficient test frameworks and automation solutions. The ideal candidate will be a quality advocate who collaborates cross-functionally to embed a strong testing culture across the engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of test automation frameworks across UI, API, mobile, and backend services
• Define and implement end-to-end testing strategies aligned with product goals and engineering roadmaps
• Drive automation coverage and CI/CD pipeline integration to support fast, reliable deployments
• Mentor and guide junior SDETs and QA engineers in technical and process excellence
• Collaborate with product, development, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software delivery
• Own quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting for test coverage, defects, and performance
• Build tools and scripts to simplify, scale, and accelerate the testing process
• Lead root cause analysis for critical issues and drive resolution across cross-functional teams
• Influence and drive the adoption of modern testing practices, including shift-left, test pyramids, and test observability
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement QA tools and technologies
• Stay ahead of industry trends and bring in innovation to improve QA efficiency and effectiveness

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8–10 years of experience in software quality engineering with a strong focus on automation
• Proficient in Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages for test automation
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, REST-assured, etc.
• Strong understanding of API testing, BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Behave), and mocking/stubbing techniques
• Expertise in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo, CircleCI
• Experience working with microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience in performance testing tools like JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities with a focus on mentoring and knowledge-sharing
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced, Agile environments and deliver quality at speed

Nice to Have:

• Experience with security testing tools and practices
• Exposure to AI/ML-based testing tools and practices
• Contributions to open-source test automation tools
• Certifications like ISTQB Advanced, Certified Agile Tester, or AWS Developer/QA
