Instrumentation Engineer (with Telecom - Preferred)

Location: Hazira, Surat Onshore & ONGC Mumbai High Platform Offshore

Type: Third-Party Contract

Duration: 6-8 Months / TILL CLIENT REQUIREMENT

Experience: 6-10 Years

Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech (Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics)

Passport: Mandatory (for offshore deployment)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation Engineer with Telecom expertise (Good to have) to support onshore and offshore project activities. The candidate will handle installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of both instrumentation and telecom systems in industrial/oil & gas environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Instrumentation:

  • Installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of field instruments (PT, TT, LT, FT, control valves, etc.).
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation systems.
  • Working knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, cable schedules, and instrument datasheets.
  • Support field activities, shutdown jobs, and project execution.
  • Ensure instrumentation systems comply with safety and industry standards.

Telecom:

  • Installation and maintenance of telecom systems including:

  • PAGA Systems (Public Address & General Alarm)

  • CCTV Systems
  • Access Control Systems
  • VHF/UHF Radio Systems

  • Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling

  • Testing, troubleshooting, and configuration of telecom equipment.

  • Ensure reliable communication systems for both onshore and offshore operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for telecom project activities.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation & telecom systems.
  • Experience in onshore plant and offshore platform work.
  • Good understanding of safety procedures in hazardous environments.
  • Ability to manage field execution, documentation, and reporting.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willing to work in both onshore and offshore conditions.
  • Must have a valid passport.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
