The role also involves supporting sales efforts, delivering projects, and providing value-based assessments to clients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation and Configuration:Installing, configuring, and integrating ServiceNow ITOM products like Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB.
  • Customization and Development:Developing custom patterns, scripts, and integrations using scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Event Management:Integrating ServiceNow with multiple event sources, implementing and customizing event management rules and alert rules, and designing orchestration using Flow Designer.
  • CMDB Management:Maintaining and enhancing the CMDB, including CI relationships, data accuracy, and integration with third-party tools.
  • Integration:Leveraging ITOM APIs to integrate ServiceNow with various enterprise monitoring tools, automation platforms, and other systems.
  • Documentation:Preparing technical documentation for customer projects and internal use.
  • Support and Training:Providing support for existing ServiceNow implementations, assisting with troubleshooting, and mentoring junior developers.
  • Sales Support:Supporting sales efforts through demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and customer presentations.
  • Project Delivery:Delivering projects on-site or remotely, ensuring projects are completed successfully and according to customer requirements.
  • Process Improvement:Identifying opportunities for process improvement related to ITOM and CMDB management.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • ServiceNow Expertise: Strong experience with ServiceNow ITOM modules, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell.
  • API and Integration: Understanding of APIs and experience integrating ServiceNow with other systems.
  • Event Management: Experience with event management rules, alert rules, and orchestration using Flow Designer.
  • CMDB: Strong understanding of CMDB concepts, data management, and CI relationships.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • ITIL: Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
  • ServiceNow Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Event Management is an advantage.
