What this job involves:
As an Assistant Commute Manager at JLL, you will plan, coordinate, and oversee fleet operations and vehicle maintenance to ensure safe and efficient transportation services for employees while managing key responsibilities including route optimization, vehicle maintenance, regulatory compliance, driver supervision, and coordination with various stakeholders, all while prioritizing safety and service quality. This comprehensive commute management role combines fleet operations with team leadership, requiring you to plan, schedule, and manage daily transport routes and operations while ensuring efficient utilization of vehicles and optimal performance of routes, overseeing vehicle maintenance, repairs, and fitness certifications to ensure roadworthiness, and ensuring adherence to all relevant safety regulations including those from government bodies. You will play a crucial role in JLL's commitment to employee commute excellence by conducting regular vehicle inspections and ensuring compliance with road safety standards, supervising and managing drivers and transport staff while maintaining discipline and performance accountability, and serving as the point of contact for transport-related queries while coordinating with vendors and logistics providers.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Plan, schedule, and manage daily transport routes and operations while ensuring efficient utilization of vehicles and optimal route performance
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance, repairs, and fitness certifications to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations including government body requirements while conducting regular vehicle inspections
  • Assist transport leads in ensuring site risk management programs including audits are implemented and maintained with critical issue reporting
  • Supervise, train, and manage drivers and other transport staff while maintaining discipline and monitoring performance accountability
  • Serve as point of contact for transport-related queries while coordinating with vendors and logistics providers for special events
  • Monitor operational data and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality enhancement
  • Effectively use technology and software for route planning, fleet management, and performance analysis optimization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years' experience in transportation or facilities management with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Program management experience with knowledge of transportation demand management principles and excellent communication skills
  • Experience with transport management software/tools and strong knowledge of administration, facilities, and transport management principles
  • Proficiency in fleet planning and fleet management software with excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to handle customers, analyze data, and resolve conflicts while ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements
  • Understanding of fleet operations including vehicle maintenance, repairs, and fitness certification management
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements including government body standards and road safety protocols
  • Experience with team management including driver supervision, training, and performance monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in employee commute services or corporate transportation management with understanding of route optimization techniques
  • Experience with vendor coordination and logistics provider management for special events and deliveries
  • Knowledge of operational improvement methodologies including efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality enhancement
  • Understanding of technology and software applications for route planning, fleet management, and performance analysis
  • Familiarity with site risk management programs including audit implementation and critical issue reporting procedures
  • Experience with transportation demand management and employee commute program coordination
  • Background in regulatory compliance and safety standard implementation across fleet operations
  • Understanding of conflict resolution and customer service in transportation management environments.
