Position Overview

The SAP S/4HANA MM and BP Data Specialist will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Material Management (MM) and Business Partner (BP) master data within the SAP S/4HANA environment. The role demands deep functional and technical expertise in SAP MM and BP modules, ensuring data integrity, supporting business operations, and driving data migration and transformation initiatives during system implementations or upgrades. This position may require occasional travel based on project requirements. The SAP S/4HANA MM and BP Data Specialist will collaborate closely with global teams and cross-functional stakeholders across IT, operations, and business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end Material Master and Business Partner (BP) data in the SAP S/4HANA system.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate data requirements for MM and BP modules.
  • Maintain data integrity, consistency, and compliance with internal standards and industry best practices.
  • Lead data migration efforts, including data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading during SAP S/4HANA implementations or upgrades.
  • Monitor and enhance data quality through validation, reconciliation, and correction activities.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, models, and flows related to MM and BP.
  • Partner with IT and functional teams to resolve data-related issues and provide ongoing user support.
  • Configure and maintain MM and BP master data settings aligned with business requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to business users on data maintenance and best practices.
  • Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and go-live support for MM and BP data-related initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA MM and BP modules (experience in SAP ECC MM and Vendor/Customer Master is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data models for Material Master and Business Partner, including Customer-Vendor Integration (CVI).
  • Proficiency with SAP data migration tools such as SAP Data Services, LTMC, or LSMW.
  • Expertise in data analysis, data cleansing, and data quality management techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Preferred Experience

  • Participation in at least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration project.
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications for MM and BP data management.
  • Understanding of integration touchpoints with SAP FI, SD, and WM modules.
  • Experience in data governance and master data management (MDM) frameworks.
