  • Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Conceptualization & Design: Translate client needs and requirements into innovative product or system designs.
  • CAD and Modeling: Use CAD and CAE software to create detailed drawings, virtual models, and blueprints for designs.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Develop and construct physical prototypes, and oversee their testing for functionality, safety, and durability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with clients, project managers, engineering teams, and production to refine concepts and ensure designs are manufacturable.
  • Research & Analysis: Conduct research on new technologies, materials, and production costs, and perform root cause failure analysis to improve designs.
  • Cost & Budget Management: Evaluate and estimate production costs, timelines, and budgets for new designs.
  • Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain technical records and write reports on project progress, design specifications, and findings.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot design-related issues and propose solutions to improve product efficiency and quality.
  • Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
  • Engineering Knowledge: Solid understanding of engineering principles relevant to their specialization (mechanical, structural, electrical, etc.).
  • Creativity & Innovation: Ability to think creatively and develop novel design solutions.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to evaluate designs and materials.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present ideas and collaborate with teams and clients.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and tasks effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensure accuracy in designs and documentation.
