Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake, Azure Data Services, and PySpark. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize large-scale data pipelines and analytics solutions on the Azure cloud platform, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory (ADF), PySpark, and Snowflake.
- Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and data marts in Snowflake.
- Optimize SQL queries and Snowflake performance for efficient data processing.
- Integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple sources into a unified data platform.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to define data requirements.
- Implement data quality, data governance, and security best practices.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency.
- Automate data ingestion and transformation processes using Azure services.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies in cloud data engineering and analytics.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5–16 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
- Strong expertise in Snowflake (data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning).
- Solid experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse.
- Proficient in PySpark and Python for data transformation.
- Strong SQL programming and data analysis skills.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance in Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Power BI, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
- Exposure to DevOps, Terraform, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Knowledge of machine learning pipelines or real-time data processing.
- Snowflake or Azure certifications.
