Our client, a well-integrated and professionally managed conglomerate with strengths in chemicals, engineering, and metals is looking for a Senior Consultant- Process Engineering & Technology Transfer.

The consultant will lead end-to-end process engineering and technology transfer activities, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality project delivery. This includes process design, feasibility studies, technology evaluations, pilot plant scale-ups, and seamless coordination across internal and external stakeholders. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong project management capabilities, and the ability to integrate new technologies into commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Process Engineering

Lead preparation of Basic & Detailed Engineering packages in line with technology transfer documents.

Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and due diligence for process changes, new technologies, and projects.

Evaluate process equipment specifications, layouts, PFDs, P&IDs, and conceptual factory designs.

Integrate ISBL & OSBL systems and define responsibility matrices.

Oversee utility estimation, safety system design, and commissioning/pre-commissioning activities.

Conduct simulations using tools such as Chemcad, Hysis, ASPEN, HTRI.

Lead HAZOP/HAZEN/HAZID studies and ensure compliance in final process designs.

Approve project proposals including CAPEX/OPEX and techno-commercial evaluations.

Technology Transfer

Manage pilot plant operations and scale-up activities from lab processes to commercial scale.

Map processes to existing pilot facilities and prepare layouts and calculations for scale-up.

Collaborate with R&D to optimize lab processes, validate products, and prepare technology transfer dossiers.

Ensure timely completion of piloting activities, troubleshooting, and process optimization.

Maintain effective utilization of pilot assets and ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, and industry best practices.

Skills Required

n-depth knowledge of basic/detailed engineering, process optimization, safety standards, and design codes.

Expertise in
continuous and batch processes
in large-scale inorganic/organic chemical or pharma plants.

Strong leadership, coordination, and monitoring skills with cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in
MS Project, Primavera, ERP
systems for project management.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.

Large-scale bulk inorganic/organic chemical manufacturing plants.
