Key Responsibilities:

Define and evolve the application architecture for RoR-based platforms.

Lead technical design discussions and provide architectural oversight for major projects.

Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

Establish development standards, tools, and processes for the RoR ecosystem.

Ensure performance optimization, scalability, security, and maintainability of the application.

Collaborate with DevOps to streamline CI/CD processes.

Guide the integration of third-party services, APIs, and legacy systems.

Own architectural documentation and maintain architectural decision records

.

Must-Have Skills:

Expert-level proficiency in Ruby on Rails.

Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and best practices.

Solid experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases.

Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end integration with RoR.

Experience with RESTful API design and development.

Hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployments.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Strong knowledge of Git and version control workflows.

Deep understanding of application security principles, authentication, and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, Devise).

Proven experience in architecting scalable and distributed systems.

Maximum usage of GenAI tools - Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor etc.
