Forward Deployed Investor

to join our core team, someone who gets the AI moment we're in and wants to be in the room where it's all happening.

If you've been tracking frontier AI papers, new model launches, stealth startups, or open-source infra before it hits TechCrunch, we want to work with you.

What You'll Actually Do:

• Decode Signals

: Track emerging AI startups, global founder moves, and infra bets that matter. Turn noise into crisp insight.
- Build Conviction

: Help sharpen our investment theses with research that blends market sensing + technical depth.
- Spot Talent Early

: Surface under-the-radar builders, contributors, and founders across X (Twitter), GitHub, ArXiv, etc.
- Shape Boldcap's POV

: Contribute to the ideas, briefs, and artefacts that position Boldcap as
the

AI VC from India.
- Be a Builder-VC

: This isn't a back-office role; you're plugged into founder conversations, demo days, Discords, and product drops.

Who is an FDI?

• Writes thesis drafts in Claude like it's their second brain and arrives at POVs across categories and markets.
• Meeting builders feel like play to them and not work.
• Doesn't shy away from slipping into DM's when needed and finds the way to get introduced.
• Spinning WhatsApp groups to make intros to founders they meet and make connections.
• Building micro networks and having breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and coffees with them.
• Embeds forward into builders stuck in the idea maze before there's a product.
• Runs "What's the next $100M category?" prediction games for fun inside the office.
• Watches open-source repos like they're founder résumés.
• Lurks in AI webinars and prosumer tool community groups to absorb new information.
• Watches podcasts, reads blogs and spams the entire team to read it.
• Enjoys product demos and tries to automate as patterns emerge at work.
• Respects the founder's time because they think like one.
• Doesn't believe in "lack of access" as an excuse but believes in earning the right to invest.
• Has a personal Notion of AI startup ideas predicting the future.
• They write because they can't not write; ideas and thoughts need an outlet.
• The best insights start as weird questions, not consensus.
• Index builders from all corners.
• Reads ArXiv, pricing pages and comments on X threads and DM where necessary.
• Tracks LLM evals harder than IRRs.
• Tracks their own personal network radar.
• Sees the wedge before the world sees the category.
• Spends time in student clubs and computer science clubs in colleges.
• Talks in products. Thinks in markets. Acts before consensus.
• Learns faster and is prepared to speak with founders rather than saying "Are you building X for Y?".
