About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our dynamic product engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, along with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing. This role requires a proactive individual who takes ownership, collaborates effectively, and ensures the delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

  • Conduct manual and automated testing across web, mobile (Android & iOS), and API platforms.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with development teams.
  • Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, clarify functionality, and ensure product quality.
  • Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practices throughout the SDLC.
  • Utilize databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, etc., for validating data and writing queries.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and maintain testing environments.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  • Any Engineering degree

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of QA tools, testing methodologies, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Hands-on experience with white-box and black-box testing techniques.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Solid understanding of API testing and related tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • High level of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering quality results.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
  • Exposure to logging, monitoring, and web server tools.
  • Prior experience in startup or product-based environments.
