Sr. Engineer

Desired Profile :

• Male Only between Yrs
• Experience in Solar Power Plant installation
• Must have experience in site identification, evaluation of site feasibility based on the availability of power evacuation provisions via nearby substation etc.
• Should have knowledge of Electrical components (PV Modules, Inverters and other accessories)
• Willing to be stationed at site from Site identification to execution of the Project.
• Experience in O&M of Solar Power Plants.
• Proficiency in computer operations.

Job Description:

Project Execution of Solar Power Plant.

Ø Evaluate suitable site locations for solar PV installation based on site visits, power evacuation and risk assessments.

Ø Responsible for operational level understanding of the requirement of the client/customer, Site Visits, Site feasibility & Solar Systems Design and complete execution.

Ø Preparing work schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager.

Ø Facilitate Statutory compliances (Gram panchayat approvals, inputs for discom approvals, Factory license, Shops & establishment license, Electrical Inspectorate inspections, forest lease rents etc)

Ø Work with internal Operations team throughout project development and implementation

Ø Work with site team to handle project issues as they arise

Ø Participating in project review meetings, preparation of minutes and chasing the delegated tasks.

Ø Evaluate project progress on various aspects.

Ø Work with authorities and professional engineers to support project-related approvals.

Ø Communicate with vendors and subcontractors throughout project development and implementation.

Ø Liaising between statutory authorities, clients, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.

Ø Conduct quality checks to ensure installation works follow project plans and commercial requirements.

Ø Conduct site audits to prepare configurations and structures for system designs

Ø Conduct worksites safety checks.

Ø Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safety and quality assurance on sites.

Ø Oversee contractors works on installation and scaffolding operations.

Ø Oversee installation of all Equipment.

Ø Review Test reports of all equipment.

Ø Seek management approval for project risk assessments.

Ø Documenting processes and keeping detailed construction logs.

Ø Ensuring that the construction project is completed on time and within budget.

Ø Presenting construction project progress updates to clients and senior managers.

Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning

Ø Ensure availability of all pre-commissioning checklists, test protocols, and required documentation.

Ø Directly supervise and participate in all Cold Commissioning activities, including visual checks, continuity, and insulation resistance tests.

Ø Support the site team and OEM engineers during Hot Commissioning and grid synchronization processes (e.g., inverter charging, energization).

Ø Coordinate and witness the required grid code compliance tests and inspections by the Electrical Inspectorate.

Ø Manage the creation, prioritization, and rapid closure of the project Punch List items generated during final inspection and commissioning.

Ø Participate in preliminary Performance Ratio (PR) testing and other contractual acceptance tests.

Ø Ensure the completion and accurate compilation of all As-Built drawings and final test reports for project handover.

O&M Support & Transition

Ø Prepare the final technical handover documentation, including O&M manuals, training material, and warranty records, for the operational team.

Ø Verify the accuracy and function of the SCADA and monitoring systems to ensure real-time operational data is available and correct.

Ø Provide hands-on training and technical guidance to the client's or internal O&M staff on system operation and emergency procedures.

Ø Act as the primary technical point of contact during the DLP, coordinating defect rectification with EPC contractors under warranty.

Ø Assist the O&M team in the initial operational phase by supporting root cause analysis and troubleshooting of early-life performance issues.
