Overview :

Product and Packaging Designer : This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes, along with knowledge of branding and user experience. The designer collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also practical, cost-effective, and aligned with sustainability and market trends.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Product Graphics Develop high-quality, visually appealing graphics for product branding, including logos, patterns, and surface designs.
  • Edit and retouch product images for catalogues, e-commerce listings, and marketing use.
  • Design mockups and 3D visuals of product concepts for presentations and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain consistency in branding across all product graphics to align with the company's visual identity.
  • Collaborate with the photography team to ensure high-quality product shoots for digital and print use.
  • Packaging Design Design packaging for product categories such as boxes, pouches, tags, and master cartons, ensuring functionality and aesthetic appeal.
  • Customize packaging for export clients based on specific requirements and branding guidelines.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure material quality, accurate printing, and timely delivery.
  • Create packaging mockups for stakeholder approvals and production.
  • Ensure designs meet technical requirements for printing, such as dielines, color accuracy, and material considerations.

Skills Required

  • Strong expertise in graphic design with a focus on product branding and packaging.
  • Excellent photo editing and image retouching skills. Knowledge of packaging materials, printing processes, and industry standards.
  • Creativity in designing user-friendly and visually engaging packaging concepts.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for vendor and team collaboration.

Tools Required Design Software:
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). 3D Design Tools: Blender, Adobe Dimension, or equivalent for packaging mockups. Photo Editing Tools: Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop. File Sharing Platforms: WeTransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive. Printing Coordination: CorelDRAW or similar for print-specific adjustments.
