Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Core DBA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of hands-on experience in managing Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security. This role demands deep technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c).
  • Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Pump.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery using Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
  • Monitor database health using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other tools.
  • Apply patches, perform upgrades, and manage database security.
  • Troubleshoot database issues, resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for schema design and deployment.
  • Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting or PL/SQL.
  • Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience as an Oracle Core DBA.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle 11g/12c/19c on Linux/Unix environments.
  • Proficient in RMAN, Data Guard, ASM, OEM, and Oracle RAC.
  • Solid understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and indexing strategies.
  • Experience with database cloning, refreshes, and migration.
  • Knowledge of Oracle licensing, auditing, and compliance.
  • Scripting skills (Shell, PL/SQL) for automation and monitoring.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
  • Experience with Oracle on cloud platforms (OCI, AWS RDS, Azure).
  • Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.

Soft Skills:

  • Good communication and documentation skills.
