Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Project & Program Manager to join our Chennai delivery hub. This is not a role for someone who thrives on managing a single project in a silo. You will oversee a portfolio of initiatives—typically a large anchor program with multiple satellite projects—juggling priorities, managing cross-functional teams, and balancing competing stakeholder expectations. You will own scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication across clients. You will coordinate between engineering, product, QA, and client teams, ensuring timely delivery while actively de-risking and problem-solving. This role requires technical depth, operational rigor, and executive presence—especially when managing demanding BFS clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent initiatives (1 large anchor + 3– 4 smaller workstreams) across different clients and internal product tracks

• Own end-to-end program delivery from requirements to deployment, post-production support, and transition to BAU/maintenance

• Manage budgets, burn rates, effort tracking, and program-level forecasts

• Align sprint velocity and resource allocation across initiatives and ensure smooth juggling of shared engineering and product resources

• Create and manage detailed project and program plans, RAID logs, dashboards, and reporting cadences

• Conduct weekly internal syncs and external client meetings—escalating risks early and clearly

• Handle conflict resolution across tough client interactions and internal team alignment

• Own the creation and review of SOWs, CRs, pricing models, and contractual deliverables

• Ensure adherence to delivery quality standards, including documentation, code reviews, and testing protocols

• Serve as Jira administrator for your programs—owning workflows, dashboards, sprint boards, and automation rules

• Support pre-sales or post-sale discovery cycles as needed

Must-Have Skills

• 10+ years of experience in technical project/program management roles

• Proven track record of managing at least 2 large end-to-end programs, including: Requirements capture, Tech implementation, UAT, Hypercare, Maintenance transition

• Strong Excel skills (budgeting, effort tracking, burndown, dashboards)

• Strong PowerPoint skills (executive reporting, stakeholder updates)

• Advanced Jira experience—must include Jira administration (workflow design, issue types, reporting)

• Expertise in SOW creation, change control, and effort estimation

• Ability to context switch quickly and manage shifting priorities

• Excellent stakeholder communication, client handling, and negotiation skills

• High conflict resolution acumen, especially with demanding or misaligned clients

• Prior technical background (engineering degree preferred)

• Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps pipelines, QA cycles, and Agile delivery models

Preferred Experience

• BFS domain or Digital Onboarding platforms (e.g., Temenos Journey Manager, Springboard, LMS)

• Familiarity with financial services software and core banking platforms such as nCino, Backbase, or Q2

• Experience working with US-based clients or regulated industries

• Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe, PMP-Agile, etc.)

• Familiarity with cloud deployments, sandbox environments, and CI/CD governance

• Exposure to multi-tenant SaaS platforms or accelerator-based delivery
