Role Overview

We are hiring a full-stack engineer to work on a next-generation AI-powered sourcing and quoting platform. This role requires strong fundamentals across React, , Python (FastAPI), API integrations, and working with AI models (OpenAI, embeddings, classification systems).

You are not expected to have prior experience with any specific supplier platforms.

You will simply be working with external APIs and data sources that our system integrates with — all fully documented and provided to you.

You will work across:

• Frontend (React, Vercel)
• Backend microservices)
• AI microservices (FastAPI, Python)
• User auth + sessions (Firebase Auth)
• API orchestration & data pipelines
• Feature shipping with Cursor as primary dev tool

This is a role for someone who wants to build real products, not just ticket-based development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Full-Stack Development

Frontend (React)

• Build dynamic forms
• Chat UI for AI interactions
• Product search & filtering UI
• Quote builder UI (price, quantities, options)
• User dashboards and navigation flows

Backend )

• Build REST APIs
• Data transformation pipelines
• Server-side logic for quoting, pricing, and product handling
• Integrations with external APIs (No prior supplier knowledge required)
• File handling (images, uploads, proofs)

2. AI Integration (FastAPI + OpenAI)

You will build Python microservices for:

• AI classification of product categories
• Extracting attributes from user text
• Generating structured output for quoting
• Embeddings-based search
• Data cleaning and normalization

No prior AI experience required — just comfort with Python, REST APIs, and learning quickly.

3. API & Data Source Integrations

You do NOT need prior understanding of any supplier platforms.

Your responsibility will be to:

• Connect to pre-documented external APIs
• Transform the returned data
• Standardize attributes (price, options, images)
• Store and index them properly
• Maintain clean, reliable API pipelines

These APIs will be fully documented internally.

4. Data Indexing & Storage

• Manage product/record indexing (Elasticsearch or vector DB)
• Maintain clean data schemas (Material, Color, Variants, Pricing)
• Optimize search and retrieval performance
• Maintain storage buckets for images, artwork & proofs

5. DevOps & Deployment

• Deploy frontend to Vercel
• Deploy Python/Node services to Vultr
• Maintain environment variables
• Debug production issues
• Use Cursor for fast development & refactoring

REQUIRED SKILLS

Core Technical

• Strong React (hooks, state mgmt, forms)
• Strong (API design, integration logic)
• Python (FastAPI basics, async programming)
• REST APIs (consuming + building)
• Databases (NoSQL preferred)
• Git, version control
• Ability to debug across the stack

AI/ML (Learnable On The Job)

• OpenAI API
• Prompt templates
• Basic embeddings
• Data classification logic

Bonus (Not Required)

• Experience working in Cursor
• Experience with vector databases
• Experience with image upload/manipulation logic
• Any experience with eCommerce APIs

• Strong collaboration with Product & India/US dev teams
• Demonstrated ability to ship weekly updates
