Position Summary –

• Responsible for utilities, air conditioning and maintenance of building & premises, maintenance of production, engineering equipment's.
• To ensure the engineering activity such as Preventive Maintenance, Routine & breakdown maintenance, Calibration, Equipment.
• To ensure and maintain high degree of morale, discipline amongst the team.
• To ensure that all the systems and equipment are upgraded, Validated & Automated as per the procedures and requirements.
• To ensure that the subordinates are adequately trained for the job assigned Optimum utilization of resources.
• To ensure that optimum resources such as man, material and area are available for the smooth operation of engineering related activities.
• Keeping abreast of legislation and ensuring compliance.
• To ensure that contractors are trained for the job they are doing.
• Preparation and revision of SOP's related to engineering activities.
• To ensure that all SOP's related to engineering are being followed.
• Responsible to perform the internal and external audit as per the site-specific procedure.
• Co-ordinate, Support, Guide and Ensure effective implementation of EnMS at respective Plant locations.
• Developing, coordinating and implementing the SEUs, objectives, strategies and processes to reduce energy consumption and to Improve Energy Performance.
• Monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of these processes and strategies, including coordinating the progress reports
• Devising policies and systems for buying energy from external sources and helping with contract negotiations if applicable and Maximization of Equipment Efficiencies
• Initial and Ongoing Energy Reviews and develop the Baseline / Bench Marks and Energy Performance Indicators, Objectives / Targets & Improvement Programs.
• Providing technical advice and Human Resource Development offering training on energy efficiency to the Employees and Contractors.
• Developing promotional activities and materials to publicize particular schemes of Energy Conservation. Liaising and negotiating with contractors, the supplies, services and other relevant organizations
• Ensuring accurate records are maintained and energy monitoring data is collected regularly and analysed for improvement
• Providing repair specifications, drawings and tender documents for building services, improvement or plant replacement work, including obtaining statutory approvals
• Liaising with and providing technical support to mechanical/electrical design engineers on new and refurbishment projects regarding sustainability, energy and water conservation
• Planning and Execution of onsite Energy System inspections and energy surveys
• Preparing detailed schedules of work/feasibility studies and cost estimates. Visit contractor's site.
• Preparing the energy efficiency and energy performance reports for management review along with recommendation for improvements.

Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation (B. Tech / Diploma)

Experience
15+ years' experience in OSD Maintenance
