Premier Research is looking for a Clinical Payment Specialist I to join our Clinical Development Services-Finance team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Review study specifications (e.g. – EDC platform/reports) and site contracts to understand payment terms and requirements

  • Work alongside Lead CPS to distribute site invoicing as applicable

  • Analyze site invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Clinical Study Agreement payment terms.

  • Process data within finance system, ensuring accurate payment outputs

  • Facilitate and distribute grant payments to respective sites throughout the course of a study and effectively communicate with investigators, sponsors and internal study team members

  • Ensure finance activities are completed within timelines as per service level agreements

  • Track incorrect and pending invoices and facilitate communication re: billing discrepancies with applicable party to whom needs to correct or approve invoice

  • Run reports, as needed, outlining payment activity

  • Provide support to assigned Lead CPS throughout the life of the study

  • Additional activities as delegate

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree, or its international equivalent from an accredited institution, in a finance, clinical, science or health related field; or related experience

  • 2 years payments experience or 2+ years of related experience in clinical trial industry preferred.

  • Prior experience using computerized information systems; experience working with various systems such as: EDC, CTMS, IVRS and other clinical systems is an advantage

  • Basic knowledge of clinical contracts, budget terms, and study start-up and management activities, preferred

  • Analytical and investigative skills

  • Strong ability to utilize new systems and demonstrate abilities within systems
