Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with QA team members to ensure on-time product delivery.
  • Design, develop, and automate
    regression test cases
    using open-source tools such as
    Selenium, Appium, and SoapUI
    .
  • Automate test cases for:
  • Web applications
    (cross-browser testing)
  • Mobile applications
    (iOS & Android)
  • Back-end services
    (RESTful & SOAP-based web services)
  • Conduct
    performance testing
    using tools like
    JMeter, Grinder, and SoapUI
    .
  • Build and maintain
    regression test suites
    with tiered execution timelines (e.g., full suite, 6-hour run, 2-hour run).
  • Execute both
    progression and regression test cases
    to validate software quality.
  • Define and implement
    QA processes and frameworks
    , leveraging tools like
    PractiTest
    (or similar) for requirement traceability, test case management, defect tracking, and reporting.
  • Track and report
    QA KPIs
    (e.g., defect leakage, defect severity by SDLC phase, automation coverage).
  • Perform
    application smoke testing
    post-deployment and maintain smoke test suites.
  • Prepare and manage
    test data
    for integration testing, including data manipulation and masking.
  • Support
    UAT
    by reproducing defects, verifying fixes, and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with
    Selenium
    (automation testing).
  • Exposure to
    Appium
    and
    SoapUI
    for mobile and API automation.
  • Good understanding of
    SDLC, STLC, Agile methodology
    , and QA best practices.
  • Working knowledge of
    Azure DevOps
    (preferred) or
    JIRA
    for project tracking.
  • Basic understanding of
    web technologies
    (HTML, CSS).
  • Proficiency in
    black-box, functional, regression, and UI testing
    techniques.
  • Programming knowledge in
    C#
    (preferred) or
    Java
    .
  • Experience with
    SQL
    or any relational database for test data validation.
  • Familiarity with
    Git
    and
    Visual Studio
    .
  • API testing experience with
    Postman / JMeter
    (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
