About your team

The GPS Dellivery - Rere-reg and Transfers is a team of around 200 people whose role is to develop and maintain the Re-registrations and Transfers of assets from one platform to another for around 1.5m+ workplace and retail customers in UK.  In doing this we critical to the delivery of our core product and value proposition to these clients today and in future.

About your role
Our TA/STA Engineers are experts in Test Automation. The role would focus on services, functional, data test automation. The key outcomes shall be (but not limited to) to create services and functional automation suite keeping DevOps principle of speed and quality in mind.Your role would be key to implementing modern engineering principles like Test Pyramid during the delivery lifecycle.

The person is expected have strong understanding and experience of agile delivery and testing practices, to drive high levels of automation and efficiencies, drive adoption of toolsets in line with the organizational direction and connect to the wider delivery and testing community within the organization to share best practices. The key outcomes shall be (but not limited to) to create a culture of automation keeping DevOps principle of speed and quality in mind.
Candidate would be expected to have exposure to Cloud concepts with respect to testing. The role shall ensure that other tech experts are well guided/mentored, and the work gets delivered as per tech strategy and guidelines.

About you

• Relevant experience in writing test automated test scripts in frameworks like maven, ant, check style, PMD, fortify, junit,  SOAP UI etc.
• Experience of using source code management tools, e.g. GitHub
• Candidate needs to have knowledge around engineering skills, CI / CD and build/ deployment automation tools.
• Experience in TDD, Three Amigos and Specification by Example in an agile environment
• Experience in implementing automated tests in JavaScript /TypeScript, Java using tools such as Gauge, Cucumber, SoapUI, Test Complete, Playwright
• Good understanding of database concepts, such as data models, schemas, tables, queries, views, stored procedures, triggers, indexes, constraints, and transactions and SQL.
• Understanding on build pipelines is also nice to have.
• Experience in development methodologies such as Scrum, Agile, and Kanban.
• Experience in contract and pact testing will be added advantage along with stubbing and mocking (virtualisation) services.
• Expertise in API testing concepts and automation.
• Experience in Cloud concepts
• Good understanding of Development Methodologies like Test Pyramid
• Stakeholder management
