We're Hiring: Outdoor Mapping & Localization Engineer (On-site, Bangalore)

At Flux Auto, we are building the next generation of autonomous vehicle technology for commercial and industrial applications. Our mission is to democratize autonomous mobility and bring cutting-edge solutions to vehicles worldwide.

We're looking for a Mapping & Localization Engineer to join our Advanced Technologies & Autonomy team and help us achieve centimeter-level outdoor positioning for autonomous systems.

What you'll work on:

Designing & implementing outdoor mapping and localization algorithms (SLAM, multi-sensor fusion).

Working with GNSS (RTK, PPP/PPP-RTK, CORS, SBAS) using u-blox ZED-F9P/NEO-M8P.

Building robust base–rover communication pipelines (LoRa, LTE/4G/5G, Wi-Fi/LAN, MQTT, NTRIP, mesh).

Fusing IMU, GNSS, odometry, LiDAR & vision data via EKF/UKF (robot_localization).

Developing and testing solutions in real-world outdoor environments.

What we're looking for:

3–4+ years of experience in outdoor mapping/localization.

Proficiency in C++, Python, ROS/ROS 2, and Linux.

Experience with GNSS systems, sensor fusion, coordinate frames, and geodesy.

Familiarity with LiDAR SLAM, visual odometry & geospatial libraries (PCL, GDAL, Open3D).

Strong background in robotics & real-world deployments.

Good to have: exposure to private 5G/satellite comms, indoor/outdoor vehicle testing, and advanced field deployments.
