What will you be responsible for?

A Senior QA Engineer in Population Health Informatics group will have the following responsibilities:

• Create and maintain manual and automated test strategy
• Understand requirements, design specifications and convert them into test scripts.
• Build Test Plans, automate QA scripts to address areas such as database impacts, application functionality scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error, or bug retests in preparation for implementation to ensure application quality and release readiness of the important population health data in Azure cloud environment.
• Identify issues, analyze and perform root cause analysis to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

• Improve the quality of data in Population Health by building functional QA infrastructure and dashboards.

• Logging and tracking defects, collaborate with Data and Service Engineers in identifying and resolving the defects.

• Partner with Global Engineering teams on shared goals and focus on the outcomes with a collaborative mindset
• Collaborate closely with developers and analysts
• Work with speed in an Agile framework.

Who are we looking for?

• 4 - 7 years of experience in manual and automated QA testing of large scale DB systems and ETL data pipelines.
• Proven QA automation and functional testing experience.
• 3+ years of experience in writing medium to high complex SQL queries and good understanding of RDBMS
• 3+ years of experience on ETL, DB and BI testing
• Strong analysis and debugging skills
• Exposure to version control tools like GIT
• Good to have experience on Python and control flows
• Knowledge on Cloud Platforms like Azure and Snowflake
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred: Experience in Healthcare Industry
• Pyspark - good to have
