About the Role

We are looking for a motivated
IT System Support Engineer
with at least
1 year of hands-on experience
in IT support, systems administration, or helpdesk environments. The role will involve providing
technical support for system infrastructure, networks, virtualization platforms, and end-users
within an enterprise environment.

The candidate should have a strong foundation in
Windows/Linux systems, basic networking, and security principles
, and be eager to grow in areas such as
virtualization, SSD storage systems, and cybersecurity operations
.

Good Communication Skills in English and Arabic is a must.

This position is for a client based out of Middle East. Work location will be onsite-Middle-East

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide
    first and second-level support
    for system, network, and user-related incidents.
  • Assist in
    installing, configuring, and maintaining
    Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policies.
  • Support
    virtualization environments
    (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V) under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Help monitor and troubleshoot
    storage systems (SSD, SAN/NAS)
    and system performance issues.
  • Support deployment and maintenance of
    endpoint protection, firewalls, and basic security tools
    .
  • Manage
    user accounts, permissions, and access controls
    .
  • Document
    incidents, solutions, and knowledge base articles
    for recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on
    infrastructure upgrades, patching, and backup/recovery tasks
    .
  • Provide
    technical assistance to end-users
    , ensuring minimal downtime and efficient issue resolution.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (or diploma) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum
    1 year of experience
    in IT support, system administration, or helpdesk role.
  • Basic knowledge of:
  • Operating Systems:
    Windows Server, Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS)
  • Virtualization:
    VMware or Hyper-V (exposure is enough, hands-on is a plus)
  • Networking:
    TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN
  • Security:
    Antivirus, firewalls, endpoint protection basics
  • Familiarity with
    backup and recovery concepts
    .
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in
    English and Arabic
    .
  • Customer service–oriented with a proactive learning attitude.

Preferred Certifications (a plus, not mandatory)

  • CompTIA A+ / Network+
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals / Windows Server
  • VMware Certified Associate (VCA)
  • ITIL Foundation

Remuneration will be on par with Industry Standards.
