Job Description

ob Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and versatile SQL Server DBA & Developer with strong experience in Data Warehousing (DWH)/Azure Data Factory (ADF) - (Good to Have). The ideal candidate will play a dual role – managing and optimizing SQL Server databases while also developing robust data integration solutions and ETL pipelines. This is a hands-on technical position that requires a solid understanding of both on-prem and cloud-based data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain SQL Server databases (2016 and above) with a focus on performance, security, and availability.

Develop and optimize T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, views, and functions to support business logic and reporting.

Design and implement scalable ETL processes for Data Warehousing using SQL Server and Azure Data Factory.

Manage database backups, disaster recovery plans, and high availability configurations.

Build and maintain data warehouse structures (fact/dimension tables, star/snowflake schemas).

Develop and monitor ADF pipelines, integrating data from diverse sources into Azure Data Lake and SQL.

Troubleshoot performance issues in SQL queries, data flows, and ADF pipelines(good to Have).

Collaborate with data analysts, architects, and business teams to support data solutions and reporting needs.

Ensure data security, compliance, and governance best practices are followed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA and Developer.

Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server 2016/2019/2022.

Proficient in T-SQL, query tuning, indexing, and performance optimization.

Solid experience with Data Warehousing concepts and design.

Good to have Azure Data Factory, including pipeline design, deployment, and monitoring experience

Experience with SSIS (or SSIS to ADF migration) is a plus.

Strong understanding of database security, HA/DR strategies, and job automation.

Familiarity with Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, and DevOps tools is preferred.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, SQL Server DBA).

Experience with Power BI or other visualization tools is a plus.
