Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SMAW tools.
  • Weld metal components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, precision, and compliance with specifications.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to design requirements.
  • Perform cutting, grinding, and finishing operations to prepare or complete welds.
  • Conduct routine equipment maintenance and report any malfunctions.
  • Follow all company safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to meet production deadlines.
  • Keep accurate records of materials used, work performed, and inspections completed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a welder or relevant technical training.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, stick welding, or other processes depending on role requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and welding symbols.
  • Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of metallurgy, welding safety standards, and fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
  • Certification (e.g., AWS, ASME) preferred but not always required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fabrication, c manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Multi-process welding abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
