Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Scala / Akka Developer
to join the Core Banking Base Development and Professional Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering
microservices-based solutions
using Scala and the Akka framework. This position contributes to
NextGen transformation initiatives
and client-focused professional services projects.

Job Locations

  • Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Trivandrum

Experience Range

  • 4 to 8 years

Must-Have Skills & Experience
Core Programming

  • 4–8 years of hands-on experience in Scala development
  • Strong expertise with the Akka Framework, including Akka Streams
  • Proficiency in Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Microservices Architecture

  • Experience in designing and developing microservices
  • Familiarity with event-driven microservices architectures
  • Working knowledge of gRPC and Protocol Buffers

DevOps & Infrastructure

  • Hands-on experience with Docker containers
  • Experience working with Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with cloud-native application concepts

Tools & Platforms

  • Practical experience using Jira, Confluence
  • Basic knowledge of Ansible, Terraform
  • Good understanding of cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and their IaaS, PaaS, SaaS offerings

Scripting & Automation

  • Knowledge of Batch, Bash scripting

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Clear and effective communication skills
