We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Embedded Software / Firmware Engineering Manager to join our team as part of the End-to-end (E2E) System Prototyping and Validation team at RL Silicon. As a silicon validation firmware engineering manager, you will support, enable, and empower your team, managing high-performing engineers to make a meaningful impact on billions of people around the world.

Silicon Validation Firmware Manager Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of embedded software engineers to deliver high-quality products and solutions for pre- and post-silicon platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, software) to drive technical innovation
• Build a collaborative team environment, focused on delivering outcomes against organization & team goals
• Develop and implement technical strategies to achieve business objectives
• Operate in a rapidly evolving environment, adapting quickly to new information and re-prioritizing as needed
• Foster an environment of continuous learning and growth

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 10 years experience in developing firmware for embedded devices
• 2 years of experience in directly managing and leading teams
• Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, and leading technical firmware engineering teams
• Experience supporting, coaching, mentoring, and developing embedded firmware engineers
• Experience with building roadmaps and developing a team to scale
• Fluent in English and Mandarin

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in full life cycle base platform level software/firmware development on custom SoCs to bring a high volume product from design to mass production
• Experience in working with silicon vendors and supporting large volume device manufacturing
• Demonstrated specialized experience in two or more of the following areas: Board Support Package, Operating Systems, CoreOS, Kernel, Bootloader, Power Management, RTOS, Drivers, MCU (Microcontroller), DSPs (Digital Signal Processors), Communications (IPC, USB, PCIe, I3C, SPI)
