Primary Job Title: SAP ABAP Consultant - HCM (HR Modules)

Our teams build, integrate and support end-to-end HR processes—payroll, time management, personnel administration and talent management—embedding robust ABAP solutions to deliver business value.

Location: India (On-site)

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain ABAP solutions for SAP HR/HCM modules (PA, OM, Time Management, Payroll) following best practices and code standards.
  • Deliver custom reports and interfaces using ALV, Smart Forms/Adobe Forms, BAPIs, RFCs, IDoc/ALE and integration frameworks.
  • Implement enhancements via User-Exits, BADIs and Enhancement Framework; perform unit testing, transport management and production support.
  • Execute data migration and conversion activities using LSMW/BDC; validate data integrity and support cutover tasks.
  • Optimize ABAP code for performance, troubleshoot issues, conduct code reviews and collaborate with BASIS and functional HR consultants to ensure stable releases.
  • Support S/4HANA readiness activities, assist with OData/Fiori integration points and participate in technical solutioning for HR transformations.

Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have

  • Proven experience delivering SAP ABAP development for HR/HCM landscapes (PA/OM/Time/Payroll).
  • Strong hands-on with ABAP Objects, ALV reporting and Smart Forms / Adobe Forms.
  • Experience with BAPIs, RFCs, IDoc/ALE and integration development.
  • Practical knowledge of data migration tools: LSMW and BDC.
  • Solid debugging, performance tuning and transport management skills.
  • Comfortable working on-site across client locations in India and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred

  • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA ABAP, OData services and Fiori integrations.
  • Experience in large-scale HR implementations, payroll localization or third-party HR integrations.
  • Certifications in SAP ABAP or SAP HCM.
