HCC Coder

Key Responsibilities:

Coding and Documentation:

• Review and analyze nephrology-related medical records to identify and code diagnoses using HCC codes.
• Apply HCC codes accurately for chronic kidney disease (CKD), end-stage renal disease (ESRD), and other nephrology-related conditions.
• Utilize coding manuals, guidelines, and software tools specific to nephrology to assign appropriate HCC codes.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct audits and reviews of nephrology-related coding to ensure accuracy and compliance with CMS and other regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with nephrologists and other healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.
• Provide feedback and training on nephrology coding practices and documentation requirements.

Risk Adjustment:

• Contribute to risk adjustment processes by ensuring accurate coding of nephrology-related chronic conditions and risk factors.
• Analyze coding patterns within nephrology to identify areas for improvement in risk adjustment strategies.
• Stay updated on changes in HCC coding guidelines, particularly those impacting nephrology.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding, with a focus on nephrology and HCC coding

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25, ₹45,000.00 per month
