• B.Sc. (Fire & Safety) or B.E./B.Sc. (Chemical) with PDIS Certification

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct safety inductions for new employees, contract workers, and visitors.
• Perform regular plant inspections and identify safety-related observations.
• Check and maintain fire extinguishers, hydrants, first aid kits, safety showers, and other safety equipment.
• Maintain PPE stock records, issue, and ensure proper usage compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors for fire extinguisher refilling and fire system maintenance.
• Conduct on-job safety training and awareness programs.
• Lead mock drills, safety committee meetings, and compliance audits.
• Manage hazardous waste disposal, GPCB reporting, and other statutory requirements.
• Implement and monitor IMS documentation, LOTO procedures, and incident reporting.
• Oversee periodic health check-ups and renewal of mandatory licenses (PESO, solvent storage, etc.).

Accountabilities & Authority:

• Ensure safe working conditions and adherence to environmental norms.
• Investigate incidents and unsafe acts.
• Authorized to stop unsafe operations or practices.
