The Information Security Architect is an advanced technical role supporting the cybersecurity program. This individual provides security domain expertise, support, and strategic and tactical guidance for a world-class cybersecurity program supporting enterprise security initiatives. As a business enabler, the individual in the role must be an effective communicator with the technical aptitude to drive security fundamentals into aspects of the business.

This position is part of the Information Security/IT department and can be an onsite role based in Gurugram, India. As part of a critical process within Information Security, our vision is to help Cepheid leadership, identify, mitigate, and manage information security risks in a methodical manner.

As a member of the Information Security team, the primary responsibility of the Information Security Architect is to lead, coordinate, and drive the implementation of key information security technologies, processes, and projects. This involves collaboration with Information Security, IT, and regional business teams. The individual must ensure that services are delivered with high quality and punctuality through both personal contributions and strong communication regarding security risks, along with facilitation and influencing abilities.

  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing updates of the organization's cybersecurity strategy and infrastructure, including risk assessments and security architecture plans.
  • Collaborate with parent company stakeholders to align and communicate information security program methodologies and updates.
  • Continuously monitor security threats, conduct posture reviews, and evaluate data protection using industry-standard processes, tools, and metrics.
  • Ensure compliance by monitoring standards, policies, and procedures, analyzing risks, and implementing compensating controls for identified issues.
  • Act as a liaison to integrate cybersecurity into regional business processes, proactively engage in global security projects, and facilitate lessons learned for continuous improvement.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in business information systems or equivalent, with ideally 6-10 years of work experience.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing updates of the organization's cybersecurity strategy and infrastructure, including risk assessments and security architecture plans.
  • Continuously monitor security threats, conduct posture reviews, and evaluate data protection using industry-standard processes, tools, and metrics.
  • Ensure compliance by monitoring standards, policies, and procedures, analyzing risks, and implementing compensating controls for identified issues.
  • Act as a liaison to integrate cybersecurity into regional business processes, proactively engage in global security projects, and facilitate lessons learned for continuous improvement.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Solid sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and managing strong business relationships in a cross-matrix environment to achieve objectives.
  • Good communication skills and ability to efficiently elaborate issues and risks to all partners and senior management.
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative environment and promoting a collaboration-mentality to develop, deliver, operationalize, document, and support solutions.
