Role & responsibilities

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Developer with 6 to 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and managing enterprise-grade API solutions using WSO2 API Management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, API-first environment and is passionate about building secure, scalable, and modern integration ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using WSO2 API Manager (v4+ or later).
  • Lead API lifecycle activities: design, prototype, publish, monitor, and retire APIs.
  • Configure and manage WSO2 API Gateway, Publisher, and Developer Portal.
  • Implement API security policies including OAuth2, JWT, throttling, and CORS.
  • Automate API deployment using CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab
  • Monitor API performance using tools like AppDynamics & Splunk.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across distributed environments.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with WSO2 API Manager and related components.
  • Proficiency in RESTful API design.
  • Familiarity with API documentation tools like Stoplight.
  • Solid understanding of API security, traffic management, and analytics.
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, BitBucket, JFrog.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • WSO2 certification (Developer or Integration Specialist) is a strong plus.
  • Experience working in hybrid cloud environments (Azure).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
