The Role: Your Mission

We are looking for a highly creative and detail-oriented
Video Editor Intern
to be the driving force behind our short-form video content strategy, primarily focusing on
Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and similar platforms
. You will translate complex and exciting aviation and robotics concepts into highly engaging, viral-ready content.

This is a
1-month internship
with the strong potential for conversion to a
full-time, financed role
based on performance and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation:
    Produce, edit, and deliver a high volume of short-form video content (Reels/Shorts) showcasing all aspects of DAPL, including:
  • Aeromodelling and UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) building and assembly.
  • Drone flying demonstrations, FPV, and cinematic aerial shots.
  • University-level workshops, student projects, and competition highlights.
  • Showcasing the new robotics lab and drone applications center.
  • Post-Production:
    Execute professional-grade video editing, including:
  • Seamlessly integrate footage of drone builds, flights, and educational content.
  • Expertly perform
    Video Color Grading
    to ensure visual excellence.
  • Develop and integrate
    Motion Graphics
    and text overlays for trend-based engagement.
  • Select and sync content with trending music and sound effects.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with the creative and technical teams to storyboard, film, and ensure content accurately reflects DAPL's expertise and mission.
  • Quality Control:
    Maintain high-quality production standards and content consistency across all short-form platforms.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications)

  • Proven Skills:
    Demonstrated proficiency in
    Video Production
    and
    Video Editing
    software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, etc.).
  • Short-Form Expertise:
    A strong portfolio or examples of highly engaging short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts).
  • Technical Creativity:
    Experience with
    Video Color Grading
    ,
    Motion Graphics
    , and basic
    Graphics Design
    principles.
  • Mindset:
    Strong
    attention to detail
    , a high degree of creativity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Bonus Points:
    Experience or a strong passion for
    aviation, aeromodelling, robotics, or drone technology
    is a significant plus.
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Studies, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred, though exceptional practical experience will be prioritized.
