Thrivos' QA Engineers play a major role in the quality assurance stage of software development, working with Engineering, Product, QA, and Operations teams to drive improvements in code quality. We pride ourselves on building a beautiful, functional product that translates to a best-in-class experience for our customers. You will use your extensive background using appropriate QA methods to help deliver those products.

Thrivos' technical teams are located in (a) Phoenix, AZ, USA, (b) Vadodara, Gujarat, India, or (c) Buenos Aires, Argentina.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, write and execute functional testing, integration testing, smoke testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Analyze new product features and business requirements to create in-depth test cases.
• Execute testing for external and internal web or mobile products and client applications.
• Document and track defects and coordinate defect resolution.
• Seek to break things and look beyond the obvious for continuous improvement opportunities.
• Generate and maintain test data to support the requirements and test case for various test phases.
• Works as a member of cross functional scrum teams to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
• Participate in test-procedure walk-throughs.
• Participate in ensuring product documentation is up-to-date.
• Represent the first line of defense for replicating bugs and providing insightful details when issues are reported.
• Recognize opportunities to adopt creative testing technologies and techniques.
• Demonstrate awareness of business objectives, impacts to the company and accountability for decisions made within the team.
• Contribute to our legacy of innovation and business growth through technology.
• Continual learning to stay up to date with the latest techniques and technologies in QA and/or software development.

REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience working in software test engineering and the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Understanding of technical language (XML, SQL, JSON, Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture, Object Oriented Design, analysis and design patterns).
• Experience working in a team environment using Agile Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience working with Jira and/or Github for tracking issues and integrating with product and engineering resources.
• Experience working with SQL and querying backend databases.
• Experience working with quality and test case management tools, such as Zephyr or Xray.
• Experience testing APIs using Postman.
• Experience with cloud-based microservices such as AWS or Azure.
• Ability to write and communicate clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with business and technical resources.
• Impeccable attention to detail.
