Role Overview

The Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring statutory compliance, handling customer/vendor payments, banking, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role also includes managing export documentation and related banking activities to support smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  2. Record and update all day-to-day financial transactions for all related companies.

  3. Maintain accurate books of accounts including ledgers, journals, and vouchers.

  4. Prepare monthly reconciliation statements.

  5. Statutory Compliance

  6. Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.

  7. Stay updated with changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance.

  8. Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits.

  9. Receivables & Payables Management

  10. Follow up with customers for timely collection of payments.

  11. Ensure suppliers are paid within agreed timelines.

  12. Maintain ageing reports and escalate overdue cases.

  13. Banking & Finance Operations

  14. Handle all banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, and reconciliations.

  15. Manage LC (Letter of Credit), Bank Guarantees, and other trade finance instruments.

  16. Ensure smooth banking relationships and compliance with banking requirements.

  17. Export Documentation & Compliance

  18. Prepare and verify export documentation including invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, and related paperwork.

  19. Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, and banks for export-related transactions.

  20. Ensure timely realization of export proceeds and manage related banking documentation.

  21. Filing & Record Management

  22. Maintain systematic filing of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.

  23. Ensure all financial data is readily available for internal/external stakeholders.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with statutory compliance (GST, TDS, PF, ESI, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Tally ERP/Zoho Books/other accounting software.
  • Good knowledge of banking procedures and export documentation.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting (B.Com/M.Com).
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
  • Experience in export documentation & banking preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software.

Performance Indicators (KPI)

  • Timely and error-free recording of transactions.
  • 100% compliance with statutory deadlines.
  • Reduction in outstanding receivables (DSO improvement).
  • Accurate and updated books of accounts.
  • Timely processing of supplier payments.
  • Smooth and compliant execution of export documentation.
