Role & responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts for the manufacturing entity in line with Indian GAAP/IGAAP.
  • Ensure proper accounting of raw material purchases, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Manage monthly closing, reconciliation, and preparation of manufacturing-specific financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory requirements for manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and maintain standard cost sheets for each product category.
  • Track material consumption, wastage, machine efficiency, and labour costs.
  • Conduct variance analysis (Standard vs. Actual) for material, labour, and overheads.
  • Suggest process improvements to control and reduce per-unit manufacturing cost.
  • Review BOM (Bill of Material) and production planning for cost efficiency.
  • Identify cost leakages and provide actionable recommendations to the operations team.
  • Assist in preparation of annual manufacturing budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Prepare detailed monthly manufacturing MIS, highlighting cost trends and efficiency ratios.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support management decisions on pricing and cost optimization.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls in inventory management, production recording, and cost booking.
  • Support internal and statutory audits by providing required manufacturing-related schedules and reconciliations.

Preferred candidate profile

  • CMA qualified having 7-12 years of experience in manufacturing preferably in FMCG sector.
