Technical Writer I – Information Security (Remote)

Full time, India, Colombia, Costa Rica

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Technical Writer to support our Information Security team in producing and managing high-quality documentation. This mid-level role is responsible for maintaining a centralized document repository, updating materials for audits and compliance, and creating new content that supports internal and external communications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security concepts and the ability to translate technical information into clear, accessible documentation.

As a Technical Writer I – Information Security, you will

• Develop, edit, and maintain security-related documentation including policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines
• Own and manage the document repository, ensuring proper version control, organization, and accessibility
• Update documentation in preparation for internal and external audits, certifications, and regulatory reviews
• Create new documents to support evolving security initiatives, technologies, and operational needs
• Draft and refine internal and external communications related to security awareness, updates, and initiatives
• Collaborate with subject matter experts across technical and business teams to ensure accuracy and clarity
• Ensure all documentation aligns with organizational standards, branding, and compliance requirements
• Support continuous improvement of documentation processes and contribute to knowledge management efforts

About you

• Extensive experience in technical writing, preferably in cybersecurity or IT
• Strong understanding of information security principles, frameworks, and compliance requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with attention to detail
• Architectural documentation skills (diagrams, flow-charts, statistics)
• Experience with document management systems and collaboration platforms
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with audit processes and regulatory documentation standards is a plus
