Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bengaluru for a Senior Pipeline Engineer. The Senior Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for performing engineering calculations, designing pipeline systems, focusing on pipeline integrity, and managing corrosion control. The role includes a hands-on approach to ensuring pipeline safety and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Engineering Calculations
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

 Technical Calculations: Perform calculations related to pipeline design, including

wall thickness, thermal expansion, buckling, and other related engineering concerns.

 Report Preparation: Draft detailed technical reports in Word, documenting

calculations, methodologies, and results for client and internal review.

 Design Basis Compliance: Ensure all designs meet the required design basis and

industry standards, working under the guidance of senior engineers.

 Collaborative Work: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, to ensure

comprehensive project development.

 Quality Assurance: Review and validate calculations, ensuring accuracy and

adherence to project specifications.

 Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all calculations,

reports, and design documents.

 Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, standards, and

technologies relevant to pipeline design.

Required Skills:

 Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex problems, break them down into

smaller components, and develop effective solutions.

 Mathematical Proficiency: Solid foundation in mathematics, including calculus,

algebra, and physics, tailored to the engineering field.

 Engineering Fundamentals: Familiarity with essential engineering concepts and

principles, with a focus on civil or mechanical engineering as applicable.

 Quick Learner: Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to learn new skills quickly

and apply them effectively in the workplace.

 Ethical Standards: Adherence to ethical standards and commitment to professional

behavior in all aspects of work.

 Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain

technical concepts, collaborate with colleagues, and present ideas clearly.

Additional Desirable Skills:

 Software Proficiency: Familiarity with engineering software tools commonly used

in pipeline design, such as AutoCAD and Abaqus.

 Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in

calculations and report preparation.

 Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, contributing to

collaborative project efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in
    Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Petroleum Engineering
    (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 1
    + years of relevant experience
    in pipeline engineering for onshore and offshore projects.
  • Experience with
    EPC / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Energy
    sectors preferred.
