Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Freelance Medical Writer. The medical writer will be responsible for preparing scientific documents, creating medical communications, and writing medical and scientific content. Systematic review writing, conducting meta-analysis and network analysis, and writing original research manuscripts.

Essential Skills for Major Research Projects Writer

  1. Research Design & Methodology

  2. Strong knowledge of study designs (cross-sectional, cohort, RCTs, case-control, etc.)

  3. Ability to design PICO/PECO frameworks for systematic reviews.
  4. Familiarity with qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method approaches.

  5. Understanding of bioethics, informed consent, and IRB/IEC processes.

  6. Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis

  7. Expertise in PRISMA, Cochrane, MOOSE, and JBI guidelines.

  8. Experience in protocol writing and PROSPERO registration.
  9. Literature screening using Rayyan, Covidence, or EndNote/Zotero.
  10. Data extraction and bias assessment (Cochrane RoB, Newcastle–Ottawa, ROBINS-I).
  11. Conducting meta-analyses with RevMan, R (meta/metafor), Stata, or Jamovi.
  12. Generating and interpreting forest plots, funnel plots, sensitivity analyses.

  13. Knowledge of network meta-analysis (NMA) and indirect comparisons.

  14. Bibliometric & Evidence Synthesis

  15. Proficiency with bibliometric tools: VOSviewer, CiteSpace, Bibliometrix (R/Biblioshiny).

  16. Ability to map co-authorship networks, keyword co-occurrence, and citation analysis.

  17. Competence in preparing trend analyses and science mapping visualizations.

  18. Biostatistics & Data Handling

  19. Strong foundation in descriptive and inferential statistics.

  20. Familiarity with SPSS, R, Stata, Jamovi, Python for life sciences statistics.
  21. Power/sample size calculation using G*Power or R-based tools.

  22. Knowledge of advanced models (meta-regression, subgroup analyses, random/mixed-effects models).

  23. Technical & Publication Skills

  24. Plagiarism checking and paraphrasing/revision for originality.

  25. Ability to prepare publication-ready manuscripts targeting PubMed/Scopus/EMBASE journals.
  26. Experience in LaTeX, MS Word advanced formatting, or thesis templates.

  27. Familiarity with open-access policies, DOIs, and indexing requirements.

  28. Soft Skills & Deliverables

  29. Attention to detail in data consistency, grammar, and formatting.

  30. Time management to meet strict academic deadlines.

Salary: Up to 2.4 LPA (Additional Quarterly incentives and Bonus)
