AM - Design & Engineering



Job Description:


Prepare pre-bid preliminary and post-bid detailed engineering Design for solar Ground mounted projects.

• Provide initial capacity estimates & shadow analysis, using tools like Helioscope & Google Sketchup.

• Prepare detailed generation estimates using PVSyst, and other similar tools.

• Prepare detailed BOM of required components including Modules, Inverters, Structures, Junction Boxes, protections, Cables, AC Panels, Switchyard etc.

• Provide inputs on Costing of required components.

• Generate layout using appropriate tools like AutoCAD, Helioscope, Google Sketchup etc.

• Designing & Planning of LV, MV & HV SLD for utility Grid connected- Off Grid Solar PV Project.

• Loss calculation for DC & AC.

• Earthing & Fault Current calculations.

• All Equipment specifications preparations.

• Evaluate and qualify new technologies and vendors.

• Analyze solar RFPs/tenders/bids and prepare detailed responses.

• Conduct survey at customer sites, to provide Design inputs.

• Designing & Planning of Low Voltage & High Voltage Electrical systems, including Transformers & Switchgear.



Experience Range:

4 - 8 years



Educational Qualifications:



-B.Tech/B.E

in Electrical



Job Responsibilities:



• Ability to quickly survey sites and develop technical solutions;

• Hands-on experience in Electrical design of Mega Watt scale solar project.

• Ability to do the solar costing for competitive bidding.

• Reviewing knowledge of AutoCAD Drawings, any calculation on electricals.

• Project execution experience will be helpful.

• Knowledge of regulatory policies in Solar industry.

• Experience with customer interaction.

• Knowledge of relevant Standards required in Solar PV Design.

• Shadow analysis using PVSYST, Google Sketchup, AutoCAD etc.
